Creekers ad made me look at my stock. I've got some 40 S&W once fired I'll never use, all cleaned, sized & sorted by me, intended for my use: 915 Win, 394 RP, 257 Fed (some are nickel), total of 1566 cases. Sold the gun so I'll ship in med FR box for 50.00
And another good buy

If cas doesn't take it I will. I know some folks with .40s, or Heaven help me I may end up with one myself.
Every man should own at least one .40

Not that I really care for the cartridge, but ammo for it has been available in every panic-driven shortage in recent memory, as have components. After this last go round, I decided to keep one .40 as a just in case gun, with a 9mm conversion barrel to make it cheaper to shoot at the range. One can find PD trade-in Glock 22s and 23s for under $400 with just a little work and patience.
I keep getting emails from CDNN with those

Glocks, smiths, even some Sigs on occasion.
Yep

I get them, too. Sometimes they are cheap enough it tempts me to have a couple. :)

With all of those prices, it would seem the .40 is on it's way out! Some of the interwebz chatter has been poo pooing it quite a bit; probably from the same guys who were hailing it as a perfect blend of the .45 and 9mm a few short years ago!
I've got a couple, a kel tec sub2000 and a matching Glock 22 that live in the truck as well as another 22 with a .40-9 threaded barrel that gets used mostly as a suppressor host. Nothing wrong with the caliber at all far as I'm concerned!
"Da boyz" is broke.

They all said "oh man, that's a great deal... but It's christmas and I'm broke".
I suspect that 2015 will see a glut of police trade in 40S&W

if the FBI goes back to 9mm... Already seeing that trend on CDNN and elsewhere...
