Did S&W Make the Model 15 with a Nickel Finish?
I have an S&W Model 15-6 4" with a either satin nickel finish or in brushed stainless and light, Celtic style (sort of) line engraving on the barrel, each cylinder flat and the frame. When I bought it, it also came with a very nice set of stag grips, which remain on the gun. I use the gun as an occasional carry piece, especially in the woods.
I was thinking (always dangerous) the other day that I've never seen another Model 15 with any finish except blue. Was this gun offered in any finish but blue or in stainless? The engraving is clearly aftermarket, but the markings are very sharp and clear, which leads me to doubt the gun was polished to remove the blue finish. If it was, the guy doing the prep work did a masterful job.
Anyway, I'm not an S&W expert, so I was hoping one of you who is more knowledgeable could answer the question.
Thanks.
Yep.

Got a couple of those from the early 70's.
that one and one for my 6.5 inch 357/9mm Blackhawk.
I understand when the old man died years ago, his wife sold off his sewing machine and other tools.
I have a few as well.

Did S&W Make the Model 15 with a Nickel Finish?
I also have a round butt 4" nickle 15 made in 2000 in the Performance Center. Nice guns.

I have a nickel model 15. Model 15 Combat Masterpieces are wonderful guns!!! They balance and shoot extremely well, and they are proportioned so they just "look" right.
As far as I know, S&W did not make any in brushed or satin nickel. All that I have seen have been high polish nickel....

Maybe, and just an outside chance it is a mis-marked model 67 in stainless. I have seen madek 64s marked as 10s.
