Geeks, help needed

I have win32:conduit-B[PUP] on my PC. A search shows certain products to remove this but I know not which to trust. Looking for suggestions here. Thanks....Lynn

I run MS Security Essentials...

...and Malwarebytes' anti-malware. They are both free, and work great.

I second Malwarebytes, also if you have high speed internet

Your ISP may provide an antivirus for free. Comcast has Norton once you log into their website. Not sure about some of the others

The Malwarebytes' anti-malware did the trick. Thanks Boge.

You're welcome, glad it worked!

Now you've got it clean, consider investing in a good antivirus/antimalware/internet security program. I've been running ZoneAlarm since it was just a firewall. It is now available as "Extreme Security", you can load it on up to three PC's and a two year license is only $110. That's only $18 per year per PC. After messing around with various issues years ago, losing time and money, it's been worth every penny I've spent on it. The other day I picked up a USB that I used to give a presentation with a couple months ago. Popped it into my USB port and BOING - ZoneAlarm was on it like a stink on a skunk. Picked up a couple of worms - which went exactly no where. Anyway, I've played with the free stuff too, but for my work computers the peace of mind that comes from running a top of the line anti-virus is worth the expense.

I run Avast Pro but the adware got past because I clicked

too fast on something I didn't understand. That's the first time for me.

I am so glad you found a remedy!
