for me. [image]This is an alloy 5' gun...I traded it for holsters 3 years ago...since moving from AK, I find myself carrying a 1911 more often than a revolver...It conceals like a Commander, maybe a little better due to the bobbed main spring housing...

I just shot my uncles new Ed Brown lightweight bobtail commander and I can really see why people get all excited about them for daily carry guns. They are very impressive if built right.

Kimber Super Carry Pro. Mine has been playing second fiddle to my bobbed Colt Lightweight Commander, for no real good reason other than I have taken a bit more of a liking to the Colt.

Gotta love the Lightweight 1911s!!

Back in the days of yore, a Colt lightweight Commander in 9mm went with me through some dark snakey places. It's semi-retired now, but still a sentimental favorite.
