for me. [image]This is an alloy 5' gun...I traded it for holsters 3 years ago...since moving from AK, I find myself carrying a 1911 more often than a revolver...It conceals like a Commander, maybe a little better due to the bobbed main spring housing...

I just shot my uncles new Ed Brown lightweight bobtail commander and I can really see why people get all excited about them for daily carry guns. They are very impressive if built right.

DEFINITELY! I HAVE BOTH THE COLT AND KIMBER LIGHTWEIGHTS.

Great gun, Rob. Holly and I both have the 4" version...

Kimber Super Carry Pro. Mine has been playing second fiddle to my bobbed Colt Lightweight Commander, for no real good reason other than I have taken a bit more of a liking to the Colt.

Gotta love the Lightweight 1911s!!

Matt

I am thinking of taking my Combat Commander slide and fitting to my Lightweight Officer's frame for a spare.

Back in the days of yore, a Colt lightweight Commander in 9mm went with me through some dark snakey places. It's semi-retired now, but still a sentimental favorite.
