TO JT: Thanks for taking up the pen
I've been rereading your books again since Thursday morning, a Thanksgiving week tradition. The familiar prose, the important notes, and the terrific images are just like "old friends" whom I'm happy to see for the holiday and feast.
I couldn't tell you which is my favorite, because they're all great, and vital, but I might, if pinned to the wall, pick the last two because of their specificity. On the other hand, BBS and BBH afford the guilty and childishly pleasurable Color Plate Game, the details of which I would never admit. Oops.
Favorite sections pop open, unaided, once again sparking my imagination and rekindling old memories. Very few other books offer the same "hand in glove" comfort, no matter the passage; the others I won't mention, although you may deduce.
So thank you for what you have shared with us, "codifying" (heh heh) your passion into a series of big and little works, giving form to our passion for sixguns, and for sharing the stories that make up our history.
