sources of commercial cast bullets: who do you use?
most of those i have used in the past, especially for unusual , less common items, are no longer there.
most recently montana bullet works did good work but he is closing down. got some from him in september and i think that is it.
who do you use ? who do you like ? what sources do you know?
Lynn is out of business with Dry Creek Bullets but I read he
has someone he highly recommends. He'll have to give you the contact. Penn Bullets was always good for me but I haven't bought anything from them lately http://www.pennbullets.com/ I use my own cast stuff now days. There are lots of other suppliers but I don't have personal knowledge.
Matt's Bullets, Mt Baldy, are my latest sources.
I know Matt is still in business. http://www.mattsbullets.com/ Mt Baldy is apparently gone! I liked that guy and great bullets.

I still use MO Bullets. I like the looks of Matt's 45/255/RF
Matt is where I got the 200 gr. bullets I used in the
Webley .380/200. Good bullets.

Unfortunate about Montana closing.
Most of what I get is scrounged at gunshows or auctions. There's a few guys on GunBroker that I have used. Anything in particular you're looking for?
right now need 120 gr flat nose for the 25/35
Bullshop in Montana
Daniel operated out of Delta Junction for a good many years, he has since relocated to Montana. His bullets are some of the best I have ever used, he will adjust the BHN if you ask. He casts for a lot of "obsolete" calibers, and is just an all around great guy.

thank you ......thanks to all of you !
Matt's Bullets
I have ordered several time from Matt's Bullets and have been very pleased. His bullets are hand cast of the proper alloy and have a very good lube.
his website looks very good, and i just dont have time
to do casting most of the year.
thanks !
Penn Bullets
I didn't know MBW was out of business. I am sorry to hear that.
I have been casting as much as I can but the last time I purchased (more than 1.5 years ago), I purchased Penn Bullets. He makes a quality bullet. It has been some time since I ordered from Penn Bullets but be careful. The bullet quality was great but the price I agreed to pay was not what I was charged. At that time, Penn Bullets would list a price and hide a market-type price bump (based on a percentage) in some notes section of the website. I thought that was pretty shady. Again, it has been awhile but business practices like that don't leave my memory.

Penn Bullets
It is still on his website here http://www.pennbullets.com/prices.html
May - 2013 Update
During these high demand times ALL prices will be raised up to 10% over posted prices until the panic subsides.
Missouri Bullet Company
High quality bullets, good lube, fantastic service, and excellent prices. The more unique bullets that they don't offer, I cast myself...
they look good and have 25 caliber and coated bullets
thanks !
Western Bullet Company...
comes highly recommended by a friend I trust and they have a wide assortment of old stand-bys.
they look excellent too ! thanks
Anyone know if BRP is still in business?
I used buy those for .45 Colt before I started casting. That's before it was sold (I think to someone in...I think...Montana). Best cast bullets I've ever seen in my life and I've never cast a bullet that pretty no matter how much I've learned or tried over the years. I was highly impressed. I'd be tempted to buy them today simply because I don't have the time I did back then for casting.
i thought they went out of business or were sold? i used
their bullets and still have a box or so somewhere.
