8.5 gr. Power Pistol, WWLP primer

or 10 gr. Blue Dot, WWLP primer

I like the Power Pistol loads as they have much less flash than Blue Dot.

About 13 gr AA9 around 1200 fps and about 10 gr Bluedot for same. Work up in your gun. YMMV

the 180 gr. XTP. The Hornady FACTORY load gave 1411 fps. !!!! I have yet to be able to get that high a velocity. Got some AA9 and we'll see. MY gun is a 14" Contender barrel with Choate extension and it is set up as a carbine. FUN to shoot!

Hobbie I played with my contender in 10 mm and got 1800 fps with a 180 before it started wrecking brass. Went through a Level II vest like butter. Contenders can take it. J.Michael

increasing velocities AT ALL over a friend's Delta Elite. BUT it is a carbine.

1800 fps? It is easy to move 210 gr. out of the .41 Mag at 1800 in a 16" but I would like to see the loads you were using to get 1800 fps from 180 out of the 10mm. At first blush I would think you'd see frame stretch with those loads.

I just shot test load one or two to see what it could do. Had no intention of shooting them regularly. I got 1865 and blew primers brass was wrecked. I don't recall the load but I am sure 1500 could be used daily from a contender. J.Michael
