Reloading components
I need some fresh brass so pulled up Starline. I've ordered many times from this great company. They are out of lots and lots and lots of stuff. Have note posted at top of page:
FIRST COME – FIRST SERVED
The reloading industry is experiencing unprecedented demand on all component categories, and we at Starline are doing our best to produce the highest quality unprimed brass possible to satisfy our customer's orders. During this time of extreme demand, we are asking our customers to place orders now to assure the quickest shipping date possible. All orders are shipped based on the date of order. If shipment of your order is held due to backorder, the pre-authorized amount of your order is put on hold and reserved against the credit limit of your card and will remain there until shipment is made and your card is charged. Please place your order now and be assured we will fill it as quickly as possible with the high-quality unprimed brass you expect from Starline. Thank you for trusting Starline.
Midway, Dillon, etc all have same sentiment.
I've had to side step shooting for the past several months so this was news to me.
Reloading components
Pre election jitters. My local pusher cannot keep any EBR in stock, no matter the make or model.
If you're thinking of buying primers...
http://grafs.com has a sale on various ones, I got their e-flyer today.
http://www.powdervalleyinc.com has a good selection (or did the other day)
The crunch is starting. Someone in the industry stated the other day that if you're interested in a EBR of the AR family you'd better jump quick, the industry has already sold 75% of its production for the year, and we've not even finished up 25% of the year yet.
And here I am, planning a trip for the later half of the year to the US of A. By the time I get up there components, rimfire ammo and such will probably be as widely available as they were in 2009 when we visited. That is to say - NOT available. Only managed to pick up six boxes and one brick of 22 LR while we traveled - and shot it up along the way. Don't put off getting what you need 'til the scare blows over, or you'll be outta luck for a while.
