Got the rear sight Springfield sent me today. The bottom of the notch is roughly at the top of the posts on the old sight - that's a pretty big shift. I have ordered a sight pusher. I will let you know how things turn out.

Thanks for the info...since my XDS9 wants to shoot 1.5" low, I think I'll call them.

I like to take a piece of tape to the rear of the existing sight. Blacken with El Marko pen and cut the notch with a razor or whatever. Then I know what's going to happen IF I make a change. Masking tape has worked but Duct is nice also. Fold the tape a bit so the top is doubled if it's to flimsie. Good luck my friend.
