Ruger SR1911
Looked at one in our Base Exchange, they want $730 for it, it is the Commander length, seems a little high, but also seems pretty dang nice. Much as I would love to have a Blued Steel 1911, I may end up with 2 SS models. I am seriously considering Cerrakote for my SS Springer, but need to do some more reading.

My son has the full size version
Very nice!

I have a very lightly used one for sale over on Gunbroker
for $625...so basically $100 cheaper. Just thought I'd mention it, just in case.
They are good guns and seem to be very well built (it is a Ruger after all) and very rugged.

If you don't mind me asking
Why are you letting it go?

I am really liking mine, I use it as my carry gun quite often. The guys at the local gunshop I frequent are all 1911 fans and own a variety of brands but they carry the ruger. To me that says a lot.
My Commander was $670 out-the-door
Have had no issues with it or the 5" but would have to admit to only running 2-300 rounds through them. Buddy bought a full size and, on the first trip to the range, the trigger refused to reset. Trigger pull was very rough. I would never claim to be a 1911 'smith but I volunteered to see what I could find. Upon disassembly, it was found that he had neglected to remove the stickers from his mags and bits of gummed paper were sticking to the trigger bow channel. A quick swab and reassembly and it's now running just fine. No way to blame anyone but the operator on that one. Of course, I was very kind to him.
Edited to add: the flat main spring housing and I don't get along too well. So, replacement is in the future but that's personal preference.
