Don't know which Smith & Wesson model this one is. The last patent date is January 1875. Four digit serial number.
Yep! That'd have a place in the pile.

Any idea how hard these are to repair? A local fella is wanting to trade two of them...one in 32 one in 38 S&W....says they both need trigger work.
Thanks
In advance.
I've had a couple of them apart.

The trigger group is usually held in by a pair of pins. Parts and mechanism are pretty simple. Some parts are available at Numrich. Reassembly will require you to use a couple of slave pins...unless you have 3 hands with 7 fingers each. Either way, you'll have to hold your tongue just right.
