Awesome knife and awesome sheath. Good job guys.
.
No highjack intended, but a question...
Is there any problem sending a knife through the mail? My nephew left a knife with me when he came through a couple of weeks ago for me to make a sheath for it. I need to send the knife and sheath to him as he won't be back over for quite a while.
Didn't think there would be any problem sending the stuff back to him, but the USPS has gotten so screwy in the last few years I thought I'd better ask.
Machine parts - you are sending machine parts...
Nm
None at all..and why would they have to know?
But it is perfectly legal to send knives via mail.

Hey Rob Leahy...
If'n I send you this knife:

Can you make me a sheath for it just like the one pictured in this thread out of regular cow leather? With a belt loop on it? The plastic sheath that came with it, don't fit anymore since I put the handles on it.
Joe
Sure Joe, be happy to do that
send me an e-mail rob at simplyrugged dot cawm

Nice Rob!
Question for you: Is there enough 'real estate' for Rick Gettlien (sp?) to do any carving?
Thanks, Guys!
Stopped by the PO yesterday to get a box and asked the counter guy. As I figured, he said there would be no problem. One more nice thing about living in a small town in Tennessee - even the gummit bureaucrats are pretty nice folks.
Oh, yes. Rick makes custom blades and his carved shealths
are what drew my eye. Lots of folks making custom knives ...not so many doing that nice of tooling.

I had forgotten Rick's knives!
And, I agree about the carving.
Now to decide which holster to match....
I'll drop you a note when it's been decided.
Thanks Bud!
