Jim Roberts...last man standing in the Pleasent Valley War..
He was known for never looking for trouble...but always capable of answering the call, in spades, when trouble sought him out.
"One story says that three men had taken cover on Jerome's outskirts after another man was killed in a card game.
Roberts is said to have turned to his deputy and said, "You take the one in the middle, I will get the other two." But Roberts could see the deputy was trembling so he resolved in a firm voice, "Get out of the way, sonny. I'll take them all." He did; moments later all three hombres were down.

Jim Roberts...last man standing in the Pleasent Valley War..
Great stories.
Many a famous person from those times were never famous,
Just well known for doing what they said they would.
That makes two of us...
I'm not sure I'd donate them to anyone. I'd let them go on display for special events but I just couldn't let something like that leave my family.
