Stonewalrus, and BHP'ers et al
I just put one of the Buffer Technologies recoil buffers in my #1 HP. I shoot mostly Fed. 9bple +p+ at the ranch, other than just ringing the gong. I'll report back in a week or so after I have a chance to shoot it. No trouble at all getting it in place, as sometimes discussed on the internet.
BHPs is me
Mark, I haven't tried buffers in either of my HPs, but I don't shoot +P+ ammo in them. If I did, I would certainly think a buffer would be advisable. I do have a buffer in my .38 Super 1911 GM, because I do load it pretty warm, and it seems to work fine. The buffers do get chewed up after a while, so they must be absorbing some energy. Check and replace pretty often.
Please let us know how it works in your HP.
