Another "McGivern Model" Pre-War Outdoorsman Turns Up
Another of these rare 5-inch guns in turned up on GunBroker recently.

It was listed in "about 80%" condition and sold for $2,260.
Some may recall the 'first' of these discussed a while back @ TOS. (The topic was the name "McGivern Model" given to these 5-inch guns.)

That one is listed in "very high percentage" condition and still available for a cool $6k ($6.5k for "Buy It Now").
It will be interesting to see if one sale affects the other. (Unlikely, perhaps, given the point spread but still possible...)
Meantime, the name still holds.
On a related note: I spotted a barreled action for a 5" HD
no crane though! 75 bucks ...

The metal looks great, but the wood grips have a big chip or dent in them. That should knock off some percent of condition points.

That is just too sexy. If I found one of those cheap enough to afford, I'm afraid it would be destined for a holster from time to time. :)
