Why is GP 100 not offered in 44 Special?

It seems to me that a five shooter in the GP-100 would work. Would be very nice with a half lug four inch barrel. Davidsons or some other supplier should get with Ruger on this. If Rossi could do it Ruger could do in in spades.

Because Jeff hasn't told Ruger to do it.

I do not need one, but would shed my Redhawk 44 Maggie in a New York Second to help pay for one.
