regular USFAs. the case colors and overall finish on this one is so fine thati have even thought about getting a longer barrel and ejector rod. but although i have seen the ejector rods, i have no idea where to find a barrel. plus , i guess that would be a mistake in the long run.
For what it's worth...

There's 9 completed auctions for USFA Sheriff's models over on GB. The lowest is $960 and the highest is $1991 with the average running at $1370. I did not examine each one in comparison to yours so I cannot judge any values here.
Thanks, i should have looked there !

HOW WOULD YOU PLAN TO INSTALL THE EJECTOR ROD TO A FRAME WITH NO PROVISION FOR IT??
Sixgunner is right, as always. The frames are different...

I think you need a welder first , to put enough metal onto the frame, then start drilling it.
this is why i am a physician, i dont have enough sense to

even notice such things ! Duh ! well, that does clarify things a lot.
i never cease to amaze myself at missing the obvious.
I'd say about $1500, TODAY. Tomorrow, maybe more...

...just gitchee a longer-barreled one. If you get rid of this, I guarantee you will regret it. I have a couple, and I would be loath to get rid of 'em. USFAs are HARD to replace.
But if you DO get rid of it, I'd like to see brother Rob get it!

There are 2 Colt Sherrif models in .44-40 with 3" barrel on ColtForum right now. One with factory ivory for $1500 and another with black grips for $1350. Both are blue/ case hardened. Not mine, no interest, just passing.

The one with the ivory is very well priced

Figure the ivory at $500 and you have the gun for $1000.
