I've got the opportunity to pick up a Uberti Schofield sixgun in .45 Colt for a good price. Anyone ever have an issue with one? I'm looking at it more for my 12 year old, as he has a thing for sixguns different from the standard SAA.

They seem to bring pretty tall money.

No traditional SAA? Maybe a Remington 1875 or 1890 replica? Would come in at less than 3/5ths the price.

...in fact, I like them better than the S&Ws, which have shorter cylinders.

OK, I think I'll get it, then tell you what I got it for. Now, I have to be on the lookout for .45 Colt brass...

Although not 'period correct'...

the HKS speedloaders for a Model 25 S&W work with the Schofields.

Bro' Dan has one (or two?) of them and is quite happy. Dad has the S&W Performance Center (I think?) version. Also very nice.
