Picked up an interesting old Mossberg 500 today

This was sitting in the used rack for a couple days. The barrel is marked 18 1/2 INCH CYLINDER BORE POLICE GUN. It looks like brand new, which is strange because it is at least 46 years old, it has no serial number. Didn't have a meat-pipe in the house, now I do!

They went to 2 in 1970 according to Wikipedia. I know the Mavericks are one bar still.
My 30 years ago Mossburg was slick and didn't ever bind
