recoil, handling on fully loaded mag vs 1 left
Have you ever thought how much a fully loaded magazine weighs and what effect full vs nearly empty could make? Ten rounds of 40 weigh approx 1/2 pound (my carry piece). I would think with high cap magazines there could be a noticeable difference.
It does...
I have a 10-round .45 in a relatively light frame--24oz or 10,500gr. Every time I fire, the total weight is reduced by about 325gr (230gr bullet, 90gr case, 5gr powder). I suppose a fella could graph out the curve of the recoil but I'm feeling a little lazy this morning.
My Para 45 holds 14 rounds, I have never noticed the
weight difference when getting down to 1 or 2 rounds. My 38 Super holds 20 rounds, same thing, never noticed, nor have I noticed any difference when shooting my XDM with 19 rounds. Interesting thought though....
Yes, I should have added I never noticed as well.

I shot a Desert Eagle 44mag once that I could feel getting lighter every time I pulled the trigger.

Honestly I haven't noticed either but you'd think it
Would make a small difference. Maybe since it is "inside" your hand it doesn't affect centrifugal force as much. You sure can notice the carry weight/heft.
I have thought of this
My Glock 19 weighs around 20 Oz. but 16 rounds of 9MM is a little over 8 Oz. Still quite a bit less then my 229 Sig with 13 rounds of 40 S&W or same amount of 357 Sig. Main reason I am trying the Glock. Jury still out.
