.41 AE conversion for 1911

Found this yesterday for a stupid low price. Now I just need a .38 Super or 9mm 1911. Or I should probably just sell it.

Finding ammo and brass will be the biggest downside to that conversion kit. I'd sell it and buy one in a more common cartridge.

EAA brought out the first...the .40 S&W killed it.

Nope - based on the .41 Magnum case

and you have to lathe turn the rims down as part of the brass forming process. Or, pay more than a buck a round for brass. Or get really lucky and find old stock ammo in a store. I've been down this road.

Yes based on the .41 Magnum case with rim turned dow to 9mm

sell it before it costs you a lot of money

You'll be tempted to buy a 1911 and convert it.

If you want a gun of similar bore, just buy a 1911 in .40 or 10mm, don't have to convert it, and brass is easier to find.
