Gotta close friend who picked up a Chiappa 1911 about 2 years ago. Looked good, but thats about all it did.

Interesting...the Chiappa 1911-22 I had was a dandy...
...I ran about 6000 rounds through it with nary a bobble. I traded it off to a friend about a year ago, who complained of it jamming badly, so I had him try DynaPoints in it, and he loves it now.

Mine was okay with CCI Blazer. Great for tap, rack bang drills.
Said it before, sayin' it again...
the Colt-with-a-German-accent I have is dead-nutz reliable with everything I've put through it, and accurate to boot. Chiappa not so much. Still, from what I have heard of recent Marlin quality, the Chiappa levergun might be worth a look at least.
