There aren't many "horse trading" opportunities around here.
but a non-functional Daisy 1200 Co2 BB gun turned up. The owner wanted "something cheap for plinking around the farm" (ie: something the kids wouldn't kill each other with). I offered them a Daisy 188 spring powered pistol with a missing loading gate but functional - and no CO2 to purchase plus $10 US equivalent boot. They took the trade and the 1200 came home with me. A disassembly, clean, lubricate, reassembly later and a fresh CO2 cartridge installed and voilá! a functional pistol with more oomph than the old 188. All I need now is to find a way to get the rear sight and loading gate from JG Airguns on down here. But she shoots hard enough to remind me to keep fingers out of in front of the muzzle even though there ARE several layers of t-shirt material loosely gathered to catch the testfire BB's... need to get out where I can exercise it a bit. The lack of rear sight means less to get in the way of the front sight!
