Sorry but this just sticks in my craw. He apparently used a pretty common technique to restrain a captured illegal immigrant criminal, was found to have followed procedure and then prosecuted anyway. Seems to me that there is a DOJ effort to intimidate BP agents so that they don't enforce the law. If I'm missing something I wish somebody would explain to me just what it is that I'm missing.

There was a case in Anchorage, AK last month where an ex-employee returned to the hotel where he worked and shot and killed the supervisor who had fired him. It turned out that he was an illegal alien from Mexico who had been working under an assumed name, and that he was convicted of a felony that his employers didn't know about.
