New GP100, me likey.....
Like S&W M66...only bigger & heavier...
Bring back the Security Six! A real everyday carry .357.

You just need to work out a bit Rob!
I'm sure if you followed a good Charles Atlas weight training program you would be able to carry a GP100 around in no time!

I've got a couple of them. I like them both. One has a 6" bbl and adjustable sights. The other has a 4" bbl and fixed sights. After putting Wolff springs in them, both are easy to shoot and very accurate. I also have some S&W .357's, but I would never shoot the loads in them that I shoot in Rugers.
Since when ...
They call this one the "Match Champion" and I understand it's got a billboard announcing that on the other side of the barrel.
Since when does the "Match" version of any gun revert to fixed sights? And the standard version of the same gun has adjustable sights?
Since when ...
Just maybe hey hired one of those big ol Nu Yoork advertising firms . . .
After all they know everything about everything
Remington Model 600.
That's what this reminded me of when I saw it earlier in the week. "We've got two great new magnum cartridges and a great little rifle, lets put them together!" (even though they really don't go together)
"Competition model"? Great idea.
Novak sights? Great idea.
But they sure as heck don't belong on the same gun.
I really like the concept
I really like the concept but the sights are all wrong. It should have something like the old Millet target sights, or the current Bowen rear at at the very least. Except for the hokey rear sight, it looks like a winner.
OK, we thoroughlyharshed your mellow...it IS a good looking
handy gun that will be solid and reliable for generations...

I love my 6" GP100 and the grips look great on that one.
New GP100, me likey.....
I like the gun, tunes easily and new springs make it a real shooter. The only thing I find wrong about it is the caliber. Would make a nice 44 Spl.
But by the factory, not a custom.

My son has one. I have always said it would make a great 44 special or a 5 shot 44 magnum.
