Finally Bought My First Colt Single Action Clone

After living sixty-plus years without ever owning a Colt Single Action in either original or clone form, I have finally succumbed to the disease. My local gun shop had an Armi San Marco Cimmaron in near unfired condition - no marks on the recoil plate and barely any indication of a cylinder drag line. It's the black powder style frame. Case colors were 100%, as were the grips; the blue is in the 98% plus range. I'd have had no trouble resisting it, except that it was in .32-20, a cartridge for which I have considerable affection. So now it resides at my house.
I blame JT and Doc O for this decision to yield to temptation. MattPA sold me three of their books on Colt single actions and I'd just finished the third one when I stumbled across this piece. So be careful about buying books. They put ideas in your head that can cost you money.

Yep, those book can cause some serious spending! Cimmarons are the nicest of the Italians in my mind.
I, too, am a fan of the .32/20, I blame it on Skeeter Skelton. Those darn books again! My wife got me a 7 1/2" .32/20 ,made by USFA/Doug Turnbull as a wedding present. I don't shoot it near enough, but it always impresses me when I do!

I had a pair of Armi San Marco 45 Colts that were near perfect. Even after firing hundreds of rounds there was still no cylinder ring and they looks new, and were accurate. Sold them to a friend that really wanted them. I am also a fan of the 32/20, rifles and pistols. Great little round.

back when, EMF had some single actions offered in 32/20 and if you looked at the note on the bottom of the page they said 25/20 made on special order.... i called them and they said 3-6 month wait. being the overly cautious [ didnt have much $ ] sort, i didnt order one, but several years later decided to order, and called and they said no longer offered. the person on the phone couldnt tell me whether any were ever delivered.

I asked my parents for a 7 1/2" .32/20 several years back as a Christmas present. I took them an EMF ad from Shotgun News and told him which gunshop to go to. This was in June or July of that year. He went in and paid for it and by mid December it still hadn't so showed up! The shop called a couple of distributors and could only get a 4 3/4 or 5 1/2" barrel. I ended up with the shorter of the two. Now that I've got the USFA 7 1/2", I've thought about getting a 7 1/2" barrel an d finding someone to mate the two up for me.

A word of advice. Don't mess with the sights until you have a goodly amount of shots fired through it. I had an Uberti and after a cylinder or two I started bending on the sights. Bent it over to the left some to correct the POI. After a few boxes I had to bend it back to where the factory had it. But yours may have already been shot so maybe it is broken in ok. Should have left mine alone as when I was bending the sight to the right guess what happened?
