Dementia epidemic?
I think we've already seen it, at the polls, in life"style" choices... http://ca.news.yahoo.com/dementia-epidemic-looms-135-million-sufferers-seen-2050-000429...

Well, that explains the last couple of elections...
...seriously, it is an awful thing. One of my best friends and pickin' pals has early-onset Alzheimer's (age 52) and is deteriorating rapidly. An AWFUL thing.
I Had A Scathing Retort
But I forgot what it was.
As you know, Mom died of Alzheimer's...
...my brother-in-law's wife's father died of it and we've seen several other instances in younger and younger folks. It was not my intent to make light of it.

My Mom too...
She was a mean one... and I miss her.
Brother, I know you weren't making light of it...
...neither was that my intent.
My Mom too... Terrible thing... please, smother me with a
pillow, if/when I get there...No, not quite yet.

And my dad...
6'5" 220 and in great physical shape...but he's going downhill fast and it really really sucks watching it. There was a time I thought cancer was the worst killer and now I'm not so sure.
my father died of it too - horrible way to go
M
Sad to see and to live with....I have always hoped to die..
suddenly -- say -- in a duck blind, or pulling a deer, or riding past my skills on a steep downhill -- or... y'gitcha idee. In my sleep would be just dandy, too. As long as you're not the driver of the vehicle....badda boomp.
I saw both parents thru that ordeal, and I'd have given anything, had they died when their mind went.
