Look into the Hip Grip...

it's also a bit thicker than the stock grip, and fills hollow of hand better. But, them, maybe the hollow of my hand is just accustomed to them. BTW, this not prob'ly a tactically endorsed carry method, as if you are slammed about by surprise and/or dropped off fire escapes, then a leather thumb=-offers better security. However. with a bit of practice, you will find a hollow along y'r strong side where it's tucked in neat as y'r beltline.

Another option that is almost undetectable by even sensitive chemical analysis, is one of Ken Null's shoulder holsters. I have carried in NYC in the summer -- unh,,hypothetically carried in NYC -- under a light cotton shirt with nary a second look from subways and street corners peeples.

I herein disavow any supposed expertise as to tactical knowledge, weeks of training by experts, or even having merely survived an exchange of hostilities. However, due to to it's convenient unobtrusive presence within immediate retrieval, I;m pretty sure that it's presence made my unconscious body language into an unpalatable signal to 'a situation' -- or more properly, a situation did NOT happen due to same.

However, that's a digression from 'carry'....pocket holsters {Rob's}, clip-on's, IWB's, cross-draws, inside breast-pocket of coat...and I dunno what else [it's after dinner, y'know] have all hosted the J's. That. and lots of dry-firing with good snap caps, lots of plinking near and far, lots of 'draw' [ya scaly varmint] and the rest have made this the most 'first shot deployable and hit' for me.

Are there lot's of other options.. ya betcha..just read this board alone. In fact, if one was armed with every preference and style and firearm of the members of this board, at own time, the sheer concentration of available force would freeze bad guys like the gaze of a Basilisk. In fact, when Smith makes a .45ACP hammerless LW snubby, that's what they ought to name it: Basilisk. One look into it's muzzle, and perps turn to stone.

+1 on the Hip Grip...

And an Uncle Mike's or similar pocket holster makes it stay in place even better and protects the gun from yer sweaty hide and yer hide from the poky gun.
