First, this arrived from Fairbanks, a 624 with ugly grips.

Then today, I stumbled upon a 625 .45ACP Mountain Gun.

I'll need to thin out a couple less-than-loved items to cover them, but oh baby, my N frame cup is full for the moment.

Wow, nice...

Really like that 45 ACP Mountain, haven't see many of those.

I had a Mountain Gun just like that one once. Shot very well, but I wound up with a 3" 625 from the late 80s and the Mountain Gun never got used again. :)

The 45ACP 625s are just pure fun in any variation.

From a defensive gun to a target piece, they seem to work well in any situation.

The first new revolver I ever bought was a 5" 625 model of 1989. Would love to find another one for a decent price.

Yep

My 3" gun is one of the most accurate double-action revolvers I've ever owned, definitely putting that myth about short barrels and accuracy to rest. It is capable of 1" groups at 25 yards with the right loads. Thankfully, my favorite defensive load is very accurate in it, as well, giving well under 2" at 25 yards. S&W really got it right with the 625. I used to have a 5" as well and miss it from time to time.

I have had a 625 mountain gun in my hands one time . I was Ina. Gunshop in Monroe Louisiana and the only reason I didn't buy it was I was a Texas resident and didn't feel like going through the hassle of a transfer. I still kick myself sometime.

Great finds Andrew.

Those 625 Mountain Guns in .45 ACP don't come along often. I have always said the 625 ACP would be my one 'all around gun'. Being a bullet caster and reloading my own, gives me more options with that one gun than any other I own.

Very nice Andrew.

I think you'll like them...my .45ACP Mountain Gun is a shootin' machine!
