Never heard a thing about this. The Quincy paper had a piece on it though. It is never funny to hand a powerful gun to a person who has no idea what they are in for. This time it was tragic.

and it is awful. I've watched videos of novice shooters experiencing exactly that phenomenon, so I don't have any trouble believing it. I have no objection to a 50 BMG Derringer... but I believe we've already reached the point of diminishing returns.
