Clean Shoot at NJ SASS State Championship!
Folks:
Shot last weekend at the 10th Annual NJ SASS State Championship -- and received a Clean Shoot Award for my efforts. Less than 10% of the 130 shootists there made that category: no misses, not procedural penalties, no safety violations.
10 scenarios - 100 rifle shots, 100 revolver shots, 40+ shotgun blasts over the weekend.
And all while wearing a frock coat and a silk top hat. Squinted a lot because the stingy brim of a top hat does not offer much in the way of shade.
Shot a .45 Third Generation Buntline and .38 Second Generation Artillery Model (5 1/2 in.), yeah, not the recommended way to go but something about that combination felt right to me.
Only the second shoot I have attended this year and it was so wonderful meeting people I had not seen in a while because of the illness.
