25-9
I added grip screws and started fitting the ivory grips to my 25-9. The smell reminds me of being at the dentist when he is drilling. I will try and finish fitting later in the week depending how work goes.
Elmer would be proud of you

Carefull!
The odds are obviously very slim, but in elephants who had anthrax, the spores can live for decades in their tusks. Inhaling their dust when sanding is therefore not the best of ideas. Just sayin'... The dust from pearl is even worse, it's like finely powdered glass. All the grip makers I ever knew sanded their pearl under water. Beautiful sixgun and grips, do carry on!

use a face mask: there have been a few cases of anthrax
caused by grinding elephant ivory....there was one in montana years ago; there are occasional cases in other places from people working with ivory.

I am using a dust mask, but If I can find it I may switch to my painters mask.
