Good day at an auction
There was a gun auction here in Rolla yesterday. While there were lots of things too rich for my blood, I did come home with a few. Two Smiths, a 10-8 and a 29-3, and a Ruger Mark I. Both the Model 10 and the Ruger have seen a fair bit of use but appear sound. The 29 on the other hand looks like it has barely been fired.
That is a Ruger STANDARD 22 pistol,
NOT a MKI, Sir.
you live in Rolla?
Started my career there in 1981 working for a mineral exploration company. Haven't been back in over 20 years. How is Rolla these days?
Nice!

Good day at an auction
Good buys !!
That is a Ruger STANDARD 22 pistol,
My mistake.
you live in Rolla?
Yep, did all my schooling here and now work for the university. Rolla's doing just fine even though most of the students still think it is the middle of nowhere.
Can't go wrong with any of those. NM

Cricky! Jeremy, say 3 JMBs and 5 William B. Ruger Sr's
go forth and sin no more!

Hello Jeremy!
Just figured out who and where. Been a while, how have you been?
Todd
Hello Jeremy!
Doing well. I don't get to shoot as much as I'd like, but if that is my biggest problem then I'm doing pretty good.
I enjoyed being in the middle of nowhere
All those parks and national forest! Was a pain to have to drive to St. Louis to fly out though. My. Oldest son was born in Rolla. I'd like to take his little brother out there sometime and show him around.
We're doing....
This year has been busy at work, trying to recover from last year, which was really, um, not friendly to put it mildly.
ON the lighter side, been wringing out a little Ruger 77 in 308 win. Pretty nice little gun, but has a really light barrel. However, with some TLC I've been making three shot groups at 300 in the 3 inch range. Got to start down the list and see if I can get it to doing a bit better. It and a few other select items have been welcome distractions to the course of the last 16 months.
Perhaps I'll get to see you again soon. All the best
Todd
