Good day at an auction
There was a gun auction here in Rolla yesterday and I had a pretty good day. A few private collections for sale, mostly from an elderly woman who's husband had passed away. I didn't stay for the whole auction (had to go once my budget was spent) but there was an LC Smith Monogram SxS 12 with a leather case made in 1929 that went for $11,750. That was well too rich for my blood, but I did come away with a few. A Smith 10-8 re-imported by Century International, it has some wear, but locks up very tight, a Smith 29-3 that looks nearly unfired, and a Ruger Mark I that has seen a fair bit of use, but functions fine.
