My 6 1/2 inch Single six does 1450fps with Wincheseter 40gr,
Bob, you should be right on. My 4 5/8" ss does 1376 with same load. My 9.5 does 1565 with the 40grainer and 1905 with CCI Maxi Mag +V 30gr HPs. Didn't get a chance to chrono the 30grainer out of the shorter gun, but would guesstimate at least 1600 or so.
