She's virginal no more!

I swung by a buddies on the way home today and popped off a few rounds with the Charter Arms Undercover. I only put 35 rounds through it but it shoots pretty well! Funny thing is, I shoot it better double action than single action!

Here's 10 rounds of 125gr +p Remington JHP at ten yards.

And here's ten rounds of my soft cast 358429HP over 3.5 gr of Bullseye

I'd say that'll do for defensive use.

For some reason I am the same way with most snubbies.

I have several of then that I shoot much better DA than single action. To me it since I am putting 8-10# of pressure on the trigger it mages the grip that much tighter. I have large hands and most have really small grips so every little bit of hold helps.

I think that's the deal with me, too. Maybe with some practice I could get a good trigger finger placement, but I wasn't hitting it right. I had very limited time and really wanted to make sure it'd work in a defensive situation. The small, slick grips surely don't help, but I am loathe to put rubbers on it. I'd say its ready for me to make a pocket holster for it and it'll ride in the bike!

You can find some wood CA grips on fleabay.

and a S&W Tee grip if needed... Those little CA .38s are way under rated. I have owned 3-4 found a couple for friends etc. Once at a small local match a gal started with her charter Off Duty when she got to the reload, she pulled her husband's CA .38 out and finished the string.:-D
