"Exploder" bullet pics.
Thought I remembered having saved a box of these from back in my misspent youth days... as mentioned, they only seemed to work against a hard target. Fired into car bodies, etc., in the old dump they would say "BAP!" on impact. Needed some yardage so you could hear the impact over the shot. Large entertainment for a teenager.
The foam is old and wizened, the Speer 200gr HPs are corroded, and they weren't too mindful of how they applied the yellow paint...
Anyway, FWIW.

Well those look like fun.

I have a box of load .357's. I will have to take a picture of them.
Samuel W. Baker wrote about using...
explosive shells on big game. It's not a new concept at all (as you know), yet it still fascinates us. :) There's something about not only "reaching out and touching something" but blowing a hole in it during the process... Hey, if it's good enough for artillery, why not for the infantry as well?

Yes they do! Bad thing is, it's got my wheels spinning...
Maybe once availability of components starts to pick back up, I'll try some experimentation.
While viewing a cartridge collection, I saw HE rounds;
Vietnam era US Gov issue 45 ACP to CIA types. Apparently, they were quite effective.

Of the Troops & For the Troops
I seem to remember Ross Seyfried nocking a water buff
With a 2 bore rifle with exploding shells. I dont remember the outcome but I think he was in Australia, killed one or two with his 475 Linebaugh as well back when handgun hunting there was easy to do...

Wasn't Bingham Ltd. one of the Mitch Werbell divisions ??? Sounds like something Mitch 3 would have been involved in.
Found my .357 Exploders...
I found my .357 Exploders. They are loaded in Super Vel cases.
Maybe I will shoot a deer with one. It might make a deer round out of the weak and under-powered .357 as some think it is!!!
dunno, but did find a reference that bingham
bought out werbells operation and had lots of sionics cans and mac10s.

Several different groups have done that over the years, the Werbell boys just start another operation and the role goes on.
I believe Mitch 3 passed a few years back
I also believe Mitch 4 and Geoff are still active in one form or another.
More Exploding Bullets
When Jeremy and I started collecting cartridges as kids, Dad donated these to the cause. I've never shot any; he recalled there being somewhat of a report downrange when shooting hard targets. These are all loaded in R-P brass.
Haven't seen those, but seem to remember the shotgun
rounds mentioned in the text.
Thanks,
