New sixgun
Well, I couldn't turn down the little Cimarron Lightening! It was just too cute! It looks like its been carried a lot and shot a little. All blueing is a nice brown patina and most of the cases parts are a mottled dark gray/silver. I'm not sure what the grips are, I'm assuming some kind of polymer with grain swirled into them. Barrel is 5 1/2" but if it turns out to be a keeper, I'll probably have it lopped off even with the ejector rod housing (3 1/2") and make a back pocket holster for it. It ought to be a dandy for carrying in a pocket of my hunting vest come bird season! One nice thing is the cylinder is long enough to fit Keith's hollow points in there!
I'm really looking forward to playing with this one! I think I've found a good replacement for the chopped down 1851 Naby conversion I got years ago from OD!
New sixgun BUT NOW YOU NEED TO REALIZE
IT IS A "LIGHTNING"
New sixgun BUT NOW YOU NEED TO REALIZE
Yep, you're right, JT! Of course, being 80% scale, they did 'lighten' it up some compared to a full size SAA!!
I always thought the Ruger Single Six should have
been a 38 Special instead of a 32 H&R. Would a single six cylinder have room for six 38's?
I always thought the Ruger Single Six should have
I got to handle a partially finished .357 Single Six. It was a five shot if I remember and the cylinder was made of some high zoot steel. Hopefully it's finished and I'll be able to play with it in a month or so. I don't have a single six to compare this one to, but it's got to be close in size.
