I thought it was funny, not pretty.

Otherwise, it does seem that certain things in the 'gun world' inevitably lead to obvious conclusions.

Take threaded barrels, for example.

Among other things, the OP inspired me to image-search for 'ugly' and 'funny' with 'cerakote' and 'duracoat'.

One or the other turned up this gem:

I like it! Eight or nine years ago a friend of mine built a "tactical" SxS 12ga out of an old Lefever as a gag. Stoeger is marketing an almost exact match.

It originates when someone decides it will be cute to mount their can on a lorcin or other tiny 22. Since threaded or extended barrels are in short supply for these treasures, they usually receive an inside thread and a barrel extension is added and then threaded 1/2-28 which is a standard 22 can size.

But what to do with those exposed threads when the can is dismounted? Well, a standard 5.56 AR flash hider is 1/2-28...

Full Disclosure:

I made a short barrel for my ruger charger and threaded it.... it has an AR flash hider on it when it isn't equipped with a can. :-P

I'd have to have 2 of those.....

That looks like a Battle Comp on the end there; that's a $100 compensator that is reported to work VERY well on the AR platform. Stick a light/laser on that rail and screw a .22 can on the end and you'd have one he k of a quiet nighttime critter getter! Oh, and put that comp on an AR or sell it to help pay for the Ruger!
