My Smith & Western...*
Something old
Something new
Something borrowed
Something blued
Idea; from one of JT's articles.
Commitment; After shooting Jeremy and Cannon Watt's excellent Smith & Ruger conversions I was committed to acquiring my own version.
SBH; purchased from former employee; he had cracked the barrel
M29 barrel; traded from Tony Aveni
Aluminum BH Frame; traded from Harold Cable
Stocks; traded from Dick Thompson
245 LHP Bullets: traded from Jeff Hoover
Barrel installation grip frame and EJR fitting Work; traded with my gunsmith race car driver friend Jim Briody
Needed more tuime to shoot; it shoots great! and Keyle's Sclepp's base pins.
Folks, thank you very much, for helping me. I finally got to shoot this at our new, local range. Very accurate, so far, at 10 and 25 yards. I owe it a full day of shooting in the field and on the range.
Rob
* Reference to; HOW many times have you heard THAT in the gun shop...

VERY Nice! Reminds me of Taffin's Stroh conversion. (nm)
JohnTaffin's Horvath conversion is what started it. Handling
and shooting Cannon Watt's version sealed the deal for me. Both he and Jeremy were very helpful in getting this built.
Shooting it removed any doubts as to why...

Boom! Nicely done.
..
OOOOPS MY "STROH" CONVERSION WAS DONE BY
ANDY HORVATH
OOOOPS Dang, I had not mentioned it at first, because
I couldn't remember...I figured "Surely Boge wouldn't lead me astray"...
Thanks JT!

OOPS is right! I should have remembered that, I'm getting...
...OLD!
Sweet.
Well done, amigo.
He got me too....
after handling and shooting JT's Horvath conversion (and the fact I couldn't slip it in my shirt as JT kept a sharp eye on me) I got one of my own. This has been many years ago, but it still remains one of my favorite sixguns. I do have a Stroh/Forkin Bisley that I have used to drop two muley's and 3 whitetails. It is scary accurate.
Looks great.

Now stop that!
At last count, I have 14,386 projects. I don't need to get all lathered up on something like this.
Seriously though Rob, VERY nice!
