10-7 with reshaped Herrett Shooting Star stocks.

Very nice!

Always thought a 4" Model 12 slicked up like that would be a neat gun to carry in a Summer Special rig.

A man could do much worse...

That with some 158 SWLHP +P would be just fine... I that and round the sights on a M66 for my wife's carry gun. Should have made another for myself at the time. About then 1911s really got my attention...

Yes Rob, it's mine. A buddy of mine, whose hand is steadier with a Dremel tool, bobbed the hammer for me. I did the grips myself and finished them with some Tom's 1/3 mix wax/linseed oil finish. The IWB holster would be a great addition.

e-mail me your address. I'll did up a Most Versatile Pouch

My 10-2 also with reshaped Shooting Stars. It does have the hammer spur and did service with the Montreal Police before it came my way.

I did have a 4" Model 12, that had been Portuguese Air Force and it was sweet, but lost it in the Great D-Vorce of 94.

Shooting Stars

I used to buy every beat-up set of Herret Shooting Star grips I found at gun shows, usually for less than $10. They are beautiful grips - you just have to carve off the ugly to get to it. Got a set just like those on my pet Model 13.
