Thought I saw Flatlaner in the airport ahead of me
Had a flying trip to Bogotá this week, in and out of the capitol in less than 24 hours. :) As they were loading us into the plane I looked up ahead of me and saw a big ol' white Resistol hat on the top side of a character wearing Wranglers, boots and a western shirt. Made me feel a tiny bit inconspicuous in comparison. Was sure Flatlander had finally taken me up on my standing offer to drop in for coffee and a visit sometime, but then the kid turned his head and dashed that idea to pieces. Wrong Texan. I was sure I had the nationality down right and that thought was confirmed as he returned my greeting/welcome/inquiry with "Thank you. I'm from Dallas, Texas." Still don't know what brought him to Coffee Country, but it was interesting to see that particular mode of dress just north of the Equator and south of the Canal.
Flatlander don't get very far
from his horses, his family or his ranch. Couldn't have been him.
Not true! We are going on vacation soon ... or maybe,
we just got back. Taking a driving trip through the South. All the way to Florida. I think I am going to "accidentally" leave my cell phone at a rest stop on the interstate.
However, I have not broken down to the point I will fly yet.
