On a related note...
Before 'graduating' to the PDP4, I tried a couple of Tasco PDP3s in the Weigand mount for a while (10-min and 3-min dot models). The 617 with those looked more like the 'Cover Gun' with its PDP2.
The PDP2 was supposedly the 'best', most rugged Tasco dot scope, but I never had one. The '3' and '4' worked fine for my application: .22 Revolver.
Moreover, the PDP4 has a 45-mm tube, so even if doesn't quite make HD, it is most definitely WIDESCREEN.
