Celebrated one of the few Freedoms I have left.
Shot the #1 in 45/70, the FA 454, and the 375 Ruger Alaskan today. 10 collective shots from the 45/70 and 454 no problem, 2 shots from the 375 and my gong was flattened, had to go prop it up again to press on, it flattened it every time. I would have thought 412grs of lead at 1700fps with a WFN would have a lot of smack, but I guess a .375 300gr RN at 2600 has a bit more. I love this rifle!
Pray everyone has a safe Independence Day, and thank you to our fine men and women serving around the world so that I may enjoy these Freedoms.

I too planned to celebrate my Freedom and the efforts others have put forth to provide it for us, but the rain did what others have been unable to do and stopped me from sending a few celebratory rounds down range!
Thank God for the rain
I would gladly have forgone the sending of rounds downrange for more rain. In the 9 years I've lived here, I don't know if I have seen it this dry. I sure hope the Sacramento Mountains get some snow this winter.

Also went to the range today with the GP100 just received back from Ruger. Problems solved in less than 2 week turnaround.
