A Note For Those That Knew Him.
Humpy the dog was 17, a constant in my life for all those years, and a legend among those that knew him. He slipped a disc in his back yesterday, and went in the hospital for treatment. Early this morning, he died of heart failure, sedated and at peace. It was his time, but that doesn't help.

I am so sorry, Jack
I was convinced that little dog was going to outlast all of us. Alex wanted to come back down to TX just to see him. He will be heartbroken with you. He really liked Humpy.
Prayers sent for you in this time of loss.
Sorry Jack.
God put dogs on earth to teach humans how we should live.

Sorry to hear that, Jack. My condolances. Losing a beloved dog is heartbraking.
My thoughts are with you.

Sorry - They don't last...
17 is a good run for a dog, but it sure doesn't seem like long enough. Hopefully he'll be there waiting for you one day.
Hard to enjoy the blessing they were when we're in sharp pain. Hang in there.

Jack,I think I know what your going though, it` was 12 years ago that I lost my best friend. she was a Brittany ,A few week`s shy of her 15th birthday. I would give all I own for her to be alive today. And was it not you who gave us the story of the Rainbow bridge??? I sure did like that one. sorry for your lost . best regards Frank
I'm really sorry Jack...
having lost a 'once in a lifetime dog' a few years ago, our hearts go out to you.

I know the pain...
I had to put my beloved pointer down Nov. 11th, after 14 years together. My life hasn't been quite right since then.
A Note For Those That Knew Him.
May God bless him, keep him, and give him a nice, warm blanky and a rawhide chew toy.
A Note For Those That Knew Him.
Sorry to hear that Jack. Kathryn and I will miss petting him and giving him treats/leftovers when we come to visit. I know he will be missed, it is hard loosing a loved pet.
i hate that. losing my dogs, over the years, ranked up ther
with losing my parents, to me. maybe that sounds silly and superficial, but all i know is it hurt about the same. i am so very for your loss.

Sorry for your loss Jack

My condolences Jack....
...losing a good dog hurts, there's no other way to put it.
They don't call them man's best friend for nothing.
Sorry to hear of your loss Jack.
Words can't ease the pain. Dog's give us uncoditional love and there is nothing more one could ask for.

Oh, man. Sorry to read this, Jack.
I still cry over my lost buddy, now and again. Their unquestioning devotion and love is paid for by the heartbreak we feel after they are gone.
I'm sorry for your loss.
Thank You All.
I appreciate you all taking the time to offer your condolences, and share your wisdom. It helps. Thank you.

my dog is like a son to me.
and i will feel as bad when he passes as any other family member. It must be real tough after 17 years!
So sorry to hear it, Jack.
His time or not, it's a hard one to bear. You're in our thoughts.

Farewell Hump. I'll miss hearing you toenails on the floor. But you are in good hands now. I'm sure Miss Patricia has already found you and is holding you even yet.
Rib bones for the house, and hold 'em high in honor of Humpy.
So sorry for your loss.....(nm)

Jack, I'm sorry to hear that. It's amazing how attached we get to our critter companions. Riggs, our German Shepherd, is eleven and showing his age. He is so much a part of our family I hate to think of not having him here with us.
I'm sure Humpy's loss will leave a hole in your heart, but he'll be waiting at Rainbow Bridge. God Bless.
A Note For Those That Knew Him.
Although I didn't know Humpy the dog, I do know how hard it is to lose a family member, especially a close pet. You have my sincerest condolences, Jack.
I hope, when it's time, you'll pal up again. There are plenty of good friends awaiting adoption out there, and none could ask for better company or a more loving home.
They live in our heart, and you will always find hem there..
but it takes a while before the immediate pain of mortal loss can even so slightly be be diminished by mere the words of condolence.
Dang ole dogs! I feel for your loss big time. Sorry Jack.
