Blued, 30mm scope rings for a Ruger No. 1 in "lower than what I can seem to find".
It looks like everything is set up for a 'moon viewing' objective lens and is geared towards relatively high. I just picked up a 30mm tube with a 30mm objective end and I'd like to mount it as low as possible.
Any and all leads are appreciated.
Thank you!

In 30mm Ruger style rings it seems to be available in Med height only, you can get low in 1" size but not in 30mm. Checked Leupold, Ruger, Millet, Burris etc. none of them make it.

Don't know if you have used their mounts/rings before, but they are the opposite of quick release... the rings are actually one piece bands that bend around the scope and twist into the bases or base. Very elegant and low profile... I have a set on my Steyr.
Good company to deal with, too.
I hadn't considered (forgot about really) them.

It's not what I really want for this application but I will have to keep them in mind for the future.
I will chat with leupold Monday and ask

How high is low? (LOL)

Never was too deep into rifles, so I don't know: Are Model 77 rings the same as those for a #1?
If so, this might help.
---
Option 1
Millett Angle-Loc™ Steel Rings
MEDIUM: R-.510 F-.397
HIGH: R-.623 F-.510
(These apparently have a little 'elevation' built-in?)
---
Option 2
Ruger 30mm Ring Mount 4B30HM Matte Medium @ Midway
B = 0.500
(Sounds about 'right' - LOL)
---
Option 3 (cheap, but probably effective)
Barska 30mm Low Ruger Style w/1" Insert Ring
"Note: Only one ring"
(Sold singly, NOT in pairs; also available @ Midway)

Let me know if you need more info.

For Comparison Only (Burris 1" Low Rings; 0.410")
by FOG, Monday, July 01, 2013, 01:55 (4157 days ago) @ Hoot
One of the few rifles that passed through my hands was a fine pre-warning #1 in .45/70.
I mounted a Leupold 1.5X-5X Vari-X III on it in the lowest, nicest looking rings I could find: Burris, which are still available at Midway.
Burris 1" Ring Mounts Ruger #1, 77/22 Gloss Low
At 0.410" high, they were a 'perfect' match for my #1 and the Leupold.
(I gather they also fit the 77, so that answers my earlier question.)

Central ignition M77's use the same rings but
by Hoot , Diversityville, Liberal-sota, Monday, July 01, 2013, 08:48 (4156 days ago) @ FOG
different heights for each end. Low front/medium rear, medium front/high rear, etc. The 77/22 has a constant receiver profile so uses the same height at each end and the No. 1 mounts to the quarter rib which is flat.
Unfortunately, I think I will have to 'buy and try'. The published information is confusing with Brownell's stating one dimension, Midway another and the manufacturer a third. Leupold should be trusted but they do not give a definition of their dimension...
However, I certainly DO appreciate your efforts.
I would probably call Ruger

And confirm the factory spec (0.500" base-to-bottom-of-ring).
If your scope has much of an ocular lens, a magnification ring, or a ring to adjust reticle focus, you might find that height just about right.
Being just 0.090 higher than the Burris 1" rings I had on my #1, I have a feeling they'd probably work fine for your application.
Thanks as well for the M77 info.
