Interesting discovery about my Kahr CW45.
I noticed the barrel is marked P45, and has polygonal rifling. This model is supposed to have standard rifling. Did a quick check on Kahr's website, and found the barrel of a CW45 is 3.64", while the P45 is 3.54". This would explain why the muzzle on mine is recessed just a tad into the slide, while the pics of a CW45 show it extended a bit.
Well, no cast boolits for this one. Better lay in a supply of plated.

Here is another interesting factoid 'bout dat gat, it uses 1911 magazines.
I assume a Colt Officers ACP mag is correct, but standard mags work fine and just leave an inch or so having down.

Yup yup!
Not all 1911 mags work perfectly though, a trial and error approach will find the winners. I have an 8rd Nighthawk branded one that feeds and locks back the slide perfectly.
All polygonal rifling styles aren't the same.
My Tanfoglio Limited has polygonal rifling and there's no issue with lead. I don't think I've ever fired a jacketed round through it. Or cleaned it for that matter. Not a hint of leading.
What type the Kahr has of course, I haven't a clue.

the 45 acp operates at a lower pressure than the 40 S&W and lead should work fine in it. I would clean reg and super clean when switching from jacketed to lead and vise versa. But I would not shy away from lead without trying it first. J.Michael
I have a couple of Metalforms that work in mine...
...and a couple that don't. I'll use 1911 mags for fun, but I bought some extra Kahr mags for social work.
