What is a reasonable price for a Marlin 45-70 stainless steel guide gun? Regular walnut stock (not laminated). This one is perhaps 8 years old. Very clean, no dings, has XS sights installed

Based on Gunbroker prices I've been seeing, $700ish with those sights.

I have the exact model, and will say I paid $530 new in 2002. It is a fantastic rifle, one of a very few that I will never willingly part with.

I have that model as well. Have a set of XL sights I haven't installed. Bought mine used for $300 several years ago, which was a great deal even then. Got the sights used off another gun, so they were basically free. It is a very handy gun.

Mine wears a Williams rear aperture sight, will get a low power scope one day, after i scope the 375, between the 45/70, 300 WM, and 375 Ruger, I'm well covered, although the Ruger is fast becoming a favorite.
