Andy did great work and was a helluva nice guy too. I had him rework a S&W model 19 and a model 57 for me. I still have them. Geez that was over 30 years ago!

It probably just depends on where yer packin' it
For example, see Page 122 of Sixguns By Keith.
If it was good enough for old Jack McPhee of Fairbanks, Alaska, it'd be fine by me.
Besides, long barrels go better with snowshoes.

Well no wonder, it is a 44 SPL what more could one want.
Had a 431 that was really fun to shoot with a good load, but heavy to carry!
